Along the stretch of sand that flanks the coast here in San Vincenzo, there are beaches you can access freely, as well as beach clubs you need to pay an entry fee to. In the first instance, you’ll need to bring everything you’ll need with you, though in certain areas there are more amenities than others (e.g. showers, lifeguards, cafés). A day access to a beach club usually already includes sun loungers and a beach umbrella, a locker and changing rooms, toilets and on-site restaurant. Locals typically buy seasonal passes, so if you prefer this option, stop by the front desk first to inquire if they’re at capacity and where can they place you.
San Vincenzo beaches
In San Vincenzo there are both free beaches, for those who prefer to organise themselves independently, and many bathing establishments where you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas and have the convenience of a bar for a coffee or an ice cream.

Free Public Beaches in and near San Vincenzo
From La Conchiglia restaurant up until Donoratico
Just beyond the restaurant La Conchiglia there is a free public beach that goes as far as Pianetti and, for the more sporty, as far as Marina di Castagneto Carducci. It is uncontaminated and wild, for those who prefer a quieter and less crowded place to enjoy a relaxing day under the sun. Perfect also for a walk on the shoreline between one swim and another as the beach slopes gently into the water. Remember to bring water and something to eat, there are no kiosks, especially if you go very far from the restaurant. If you don’t have a beach umbrella, you can ask for one at the front desk of Podere L’Agave!

In San Vincenzo
All along the coastline that runs along the town of San Vincenzo, there are many free public beaches between one beach club and another. Just follow the signs for any beach club and nearby you will find a stretch of free public beach. Being very small, in summer they are very crowded, so it is better to arrive early to be sure to find an available spot. We do not recommend the beaches adjacent to the port because there are often algae there. The beach slopes gently into the water, wherever you choose to stop.
